Oh good, I'm glad to hear it. I was kind of sad yesterday because someone heard a couple bad reviews and it was one of the few movies I really wanted to see in the theater this summer.

Yes, I think that it's absolutely fine to take a 9-year-old. Cuss-words and all.
There are some death-and-destruction scenes, brief scary moments, intense action, and a couple of good Luthor monologues, but nothing risque or offensive.
